Thanks

Thank you for your support

Trash and Treasure, our annual major fundraising event, held on Saturday 29 October,  was a great success, raising  over $2500 for the CWA, enabling it to continue its work in the community. We were lucky with the weather, although it was too windy to put up marquees, it was sunny and dry. There were treasures galore and many happy customers.

Our thanks to Phil’s Emporium for giving us the opportunity to hold it there and for working with us. It made a real difference. Because of all the rain we’ve had and the problems it has caused at our property, we had discussed having a much smaller event inside our rooms. So the offer ot holding it in conjunction with Phil’s Emporium was a lifeline.

There was a lot of sorting the Friday before, and a great effort getting all the boxes and tables across the toad and around the corner on Saturday morning.

There were t he usual tables of items, an expanded plant stall organised by the Garden Club,a table of knitted items for babies and toddlers, and the aroma of onions, thanks to the Rotary sausage sizzle.

So – a big thank you to all who were involved, including everyone who donated items and who  came to support us.
