The book group meets once a month, on the first Wednesday of the month at 11.15am, except January.

At our first meeting of the year in February, as well as discussing our holiday reading, each member will suggest a book that they think the group would enjoy discussing.

From the list we then select a book for each month for the year. The only proviso is that the book needs to be available in audio form as well as print or e-book so that all our members can enjoy it.

We’ve discussed a range of books including science-fiction, Classics, fantasy, mysteries and non-fiction. We usually include a book by an author from the CWA country of study for that year. We also try to include a young adult novel as well.

Usually the person that has nominated the book will lead the discussion and make notes that can then be shared with those members who weren’t able to attend the meeting.
