Garden Club
Bungendore Garden Club welcomes all gardeners and anyone interested in gardens to join us at our meetings: held on the third Saturday of each month at 2.00pm at the CWA rooms (40 Gibraltar St Bungendore) where information is shared and questions answered.
We welcome all members of our community who want to learn, share and meet with others interested in the challenge of gardening in our region. You do not need to be a CWA member to attend Garden Club.
There is usually a sales table from 1.30pm, where plants grown and donated by members are available for sale.
The Garden Club is a community initiative of the Bungendore CWA Branch. Funds raised by the club go to CWA to assist with its programs.

Garden Club is not meeting in January.
February, Saturday 21st
Garden Visit to Jenny’s Garden.
Our first meeting of the year.
We will share tips on gardening in the heat, meander in the garden and share afternoon tea.
March, Saturday 21st
CWA Rooms, 40 Gibraltar Street.
Plant Swap and Propagation for September Plant Stall.
Pots, soil and labels will be provided, please bring your garden gloves and secateurs along with cuttings, clumps and plants to share and propagate.
April, Saturday 18th
On Site at Attila’s garden,
Working with Soil.
Garden Club member Attila Horgosi — our resident Plant Doctor, will be running this session. Details will be emailed to members the week before.
May, Saturday 16th
CWA Rooms, 40 Gibraltar Street.
Floristry demonstration.
Will be given by Jera Quinn from Meadow & Wilder Farm at the Malbon. There will be a silent auction of the arrangements to cover costs.
June, Saturday 20th

All About Tools...
tool care, sharpening, favourite tools. This session will be run by Catharine Watson from 2WP Gardening Tools, Goulburn. Bring your secateurs for a ‘Secateur Challenge'.
July, Saturday 18th

Decorating terracotta pots using Decoupage.
Garden Club member, Carolyn Brody will be running a session decorating terracotta pots, using decoupage.
August, Saturday 15th

Open Gardens Discussion.
Discuss organising Open Gardens in and around Bungendore. Someone from Canberra Open Gardens to talk. Organise the roster for the September Plant Stall at Trash and Treasure.
September, Saturday 19th
CWA Rooms, 40 Gibraltar Street from 9am till 2pm.

October, Saturday 17th
Possible bus trip to a garden/gardens, details TBC.
November, Saturday 21st
Garden Visit – Christine’s Garden, Gowrie ACT.
Christine gave us a presentation last year of the design and evolution of her garden, so it will be interesting to see it as it is now.
Members will receive details the week before.
December, Saturday 19th
Pub lunch at The Royal — unless someone has a better idea!
